Children and families who register for the Salvation Army’s annual Christmas Bureau gift and food giveaway are receiving free flu shots this week at the Oncenter.
The vaccinations are part of a study that examines the public understanding of influenza, influenza vaccine and vaccine safety by Drs. Manika Suryadevara MD and Joseph Domachowske MD. Both are pediatricians who specialize in infectious disease at Upstate Golisano Children’s Hospital.
This is the last week families can register for the Christmas Bureau, from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. today through Wednesday, Dec. 12; 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 13; and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday., Dec. 14. The Christmas Bureau giveaway takes place Dec. 21 at the Oncenter.
