Pre-registration is underway for the March of Dimes’ annual March for Babies, taking place this year on Sunday Oct. 14 at Onondaga Community College in Syracuse.
Upstate employees who raise a minimum of $30 (or $15 for students) will receive a Team Upstate t-shirt. Pre-registrations take place 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 13 at the Community Campus Cafeteria; 7:30 to 9 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18 at the Golisano Children’s Hospital outside of Tim Horton’s; and 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18 in University Hospital’s 2nd floor cafeteria.
Registration is also available the morning of the event, starting at 10 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 14, but Team Upstate t-shirts are only guaranteed for those who register by Sept. 28. The 3-mile march starts at 11 a.m.
Meredith Price, the chief administrative officer for Upstate University Hospital’s Community Campus, is chair of this year’s March for Babies. This is the premiere fundraising event for the March of Dimes, which supports numerous community programs that aim to help pregnant women have healthy, full-term pregnancies.
